This was June’s Daring Baker challenge. Erica of Erica’s Edibles was our host for the Daring Baker’s June challenge. Erica challenged us to be truly DARING by making homemade phyllo dough and then to use that homemade dough to make Baklava.

Considering that I’ve never even eaten baklava, aside from the supermarket variety (which I suspect doesn’t really count), I didn’t entirely know what I was going for. Also, the challenge stipulated that I had to make my own filo, which takes significant effort – and time, which Nathan really didn’t want to give  me.  All in all, I can’t be too hard on myself over this one. There was a lot that could have gone better, but it was still strangely addictive.
